Neda Mitkova is a 4th year Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior Major with a Minor in Comparative Literature. She moved to the United States at the age of ten from Bulgaria, a small country in Eastern Europe. Shortly after, Neda realized her passion for medicine and began attending UC Davis at the age of sixteen. Currently, she is looking forward to serving as the Pre-Med AMSA President at UC Davis and providing opportunities for Pre-Med students here at Davis to explore their future careers. Neda is also the Co-Chair of the UC Davis Relay For Life which focuses on celebrating cancer survivors, remembering those lost to the disease, and fighting back by raising funds for the American Cancer Society. Her passion for helping cancer patients through their struggle has led her to begin clinical research with a hope to improve the cancer treatment process.

Vice-President/Treasurer
Rami Hosein - rjhosein@ucdavis.edu
What’s up AMSA! My name is Ramie Hosein and I’m a third year Philosophy major. I was born in Springfield, Virginia, and moved to Sacramento when I was eight years old. I played some water polo at Rio Americano high school and practiced taekwondo for six years. Along with playing an active role in Davis AMSA, I also aid in the research at an internal medicine lab specializing in pulmonary inflammation. One of my favorite things to do is travel, and I try to visit the Dead Sea each year. I understand that for many students, the university setting can be at times quite stressful and overwhelming so if you ever need any help PLEASE don’t hesitate to ask me! I’m looking for a great year for DAVIS AMSA!!!
